Job Overview and Description:
The Certification Program Manager works closely with the Director of Certification and works collaboratively with ASNT International Service Center (ISC) Staff and the ASNT Certification Management Committee(CMC). This influential role oversees ASNT Certification program development and management. Provides informed, strategic guidance for mission driven program growth within the global marketplace. This position offers the opportunity for telework.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Oversees management of design, implementation, strategy and growth process for specific ASNT certification programs, products and services.
• Maintains familiarity with the competitive environment related to NDT/NDE/NDI certification in the international and domestic markets. Leads team efforts to monitor the external landscape, implement policies, objectives, and activities to maximize return on investment and increase productivity.
• Champions the development and implementation of new ASNT certification policies, initiatives, and programs; assists in advocacy efforts.
• Interprets and explains complex certification reports, proposals and related concepts in order to identify objectives for both internal and external audiences.
• Interpret a variety of written materials (codes, standards, regulations, policies and records) for the purpose of ensuring compliance with requirements.
• Communicates with ASNT members and interested parties for the purpose of providing and acquiring accurate and current information regarding ASNT certification processes, policies, procedures and other requirements.
• Responds to a wide variety of inquiries from internal and external parties for the purpose of providing information, guidance and facilitating communication.
• Serves as a liaison to committees and organizations on the behalf of ASNT ISC as required.


Professional Profile and Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or related field required; advanced degree a plus, or a minimum of ten years’ experience in NDT with at least five years’ experience in a technical management role.
• NDT background (valid ASNT NDT Level III and/or ACCP Professional Level III certifications in at least two methods required, RT & ET preferred).
• Quality management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of the international marketplace in relation to the NDT market. In-depth knowledge of NDT personnel qualification and certification in the global market supporting the various industries. Experience and working knowledge of ISO 9712 is preferred.
• Working familiarity with and/or ability to operate in line with organizations and regulatory bodies that are responsible for constructing NDT codes.
• Understanding of domestic and international NDT/NDE/NDI societies and organizations.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities; demonstrated exceptional decision- making skills and routine use of strategic guidance to produce positive results.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written reports/analysis and oral presentations).
• Ability to work alone or with a committee team, providing guidance, motivation and recommendations to support the company strategic plan.
• Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and database management.

Position requires up to 33% travel. This is a telework position, however, some travel for program development and conference activities is required.
